Terms and conditions - rental equipment

1. Eligibility

  • The renter must be at least 18 years old or have written permission from a parent or guardian.

2. Rental Request & Approval

  • All rental requests must be submitted through the official EMA request form or by email.

  • Requests are subject to availability and must be approved by the  EMA board.

3. Rental Duration

  • Standard rental duration is one day unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Extensions must be requested and approved before the original return date.

4. Rental Fee & Deposit

  • A rental fee may be charged depending on the equipment.

  • A deposit of 50% of the total rental price must be payed to cover potential no shows or damage.

  • Both the rental fee and deposit must be paid before the equipment is picked up.

5. Equipment Use

  • Equipment must be used with care and only for musical purposes.

  • The renter is responsible for ensuring the equipment is used safely and properly.

  • Subleasing the equipment with third parties is not allowed.

6. Damage, Loss & Liability

  • The renter is fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the equipment during the rental period.

  • EMA reserves the right to charge for repairs, replacement, or loss of value.

7. Return Policy

  • Equipment must be returned clean, functional, and on time.

  • Late returns may result in a fine or loss of rental privileges.

  • If the equipment is returned in poor condition, an inspection will be conducted and costs may be charged accordingly.

8. Inspection & Reporting

  • The renter must check the equipment at the time of pick-up and report any defects immediately.

  • Any issues discovered during use must be reported as soon as possible.

9. Termination of Rental Privileges

  • EMA reserves the right to refuse rental requests or revoke privileges in case of misuse, repeated late returns, or policy violations.

10. Agreement

  • By renting equipment from EMA, the renter agrees to these terms and conditions.
